Well Begun is Half Done

So, I guess I'm blogging now. I'm a Blogger. A Blogonian, if you will. What I will write about is anyone's guess...family, travel, politics, snails, wood whittling, splitting the atom (just kidding, I don't have a clue who Atom is or why I would want to split anything with him, Mr. Greedy) - the sky's the limit!

I guess I should tell you a little bit about myself, seeing as we are going to be lifelong friends and have a deeply personal relationship henceforth. My name is Erin, but most of my kids' friends have dubbed me "Mama P," and it kind of stuck (which I love, not gonna lie). I have been married to my sweet boyfriend almost 23 years (yes, we were total infants when we got married). We have twin boys, Brady and Drew who just finished their freshman year in college (which is weird because I am only 25...ahem) and a daughter, Ella who will start high school in the fall. I can't forget to mention our sweet old pup, Lucy Lou the Cockapoo who is currently crashed under my feet and who -I am not ashamed to admit- probably has more photos on my phone than my actual kids. I love my family deeply. They are my touchstone (which, I'm embarrassed to say I used to think was actually a DUTCHstone...whatever that is...moron). 

I'm a Pacific Northwest girl, born and raised (on the playground is where I spent most of my days...). I love living here (except the weather as of late...dear Lord please send some warm sunshine right quickly for the love of Pete!). We love to travel and are always thinking about where our next adventure will lead us. The world is a big ole' place and it is meant to be explored! 

Question of the day: will this blog thingamajiggy ever take off? Will you all find my humor and charm so hysterical and contagious that everyone in the world will wait with baited breath for my next post or will it crash and burn? I'm not telling you which one I am placing my wager on, but let's just say I won't be buying that mansion anytime soon. ;)

So, to all of my devoted followers (I'm sure there are millions of you by now, amiright?) I look forward to sharing with you little snippets of my life...one blurb at a time.
